Bengal Football Camp Information
POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State football program has set its dates for the summer youth football camps. There will be the Bengal Baller Football Camps that will take place in Pocatello, Idaho Falls and Twin Falls along with the Bengal Eight Man Camp that will run June 13-16 at Holt Arena.
The Bengal Baller camps are for anyone ages seven to 13 or just finishing their seventh grade year in 2011. Cost is $75 per camper, cash or check only. The purpose of the camps is to teach basic fundamentals for becoming better football players. Each camper will be instructed by Idaho State football coaches in individual offensive and defensive skills.. Each camper also gets a free t-shirt.
Campers are not to wear pads and should wear work out gear such as shorts, tennis shoes, t-shirts or sweats.
The Pocatello camp is June 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Holt Arena with check in beginning at 8 a.m. Those attending should come to the Southwest Corner of Holt Arena to check in and complete registration.
The Idaho Falls camp is June 8 at Skyline High School. Check in begins at 8 a.m. and the camp runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Light House Christian School will host the ISU Football Camp on June 20 with registration once again beginning at 8 a.m. and the camp running from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
From June 13-16 at Holt Arena, the football program will also host the Bengal 8 Man Camp. This is open to all teams and individuals entering ninth grade to their senior year in high school. Cost is $180 per dorm camper and $140 per Holt Camper and $100 per day camper.
The Bengal 8 Man Camp is designed to enhance both the team and individual player. Each player will have the opportunity to be coached by members of the Bengal coaching staff.
The practices will consist of individual drills and controlled scrimmages. Every evening each player will have the opportunity to compete in the Bengal Passing League, and Trench Warrior Challenge. For every 10 players one high school coach will be included. Every high school coach is responsible for registering the campers and coaches by sending their application and payments as a team as early as possible. All forms and payments must be received in full by June 6, 2011.
All overnight campers will be required to bring their own towels, wash cloths, soap, sun screen and personal toiletries . Dorm campers WILL be provided with a linen package. Campers should bring footballs, cleats, turf shoes, socks, shorts, athletic supporter, t-shirts, practice jersey and full set of football equipment. There will be a $40 flat rate rental fee for those who are unable to provide their own equipment.
