Hill Named National Tight End of the Week

POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State senior tight end Josh Hill has been named the National Tight End of the Week by College Football Performance Awards for his performance on Saturday against Sacramento State.

Hill had a career afternoon as he caught 12 passes for 123 yards against the Hornets. His previous career high was nine catches against Portland State last year and 92 yards receiving against Western State in the 2011 home opener. For the season Hill has 25 catches for 242 yards and two touchdowns.

Rodrick Rumble and Taison Manu were also recognized by CFPA for their performances against Sacramento State. Rumble had 11 catches for 183 yards and one touchdown while Manu had a team-high 13 tackles in his first-career start. The 183 receiving yards for Rumble was his second-best performance of his career.

Idaho State plays at Portland State on Saturday at 6 p.m. (MST). The game can be heard live on 102.5 KMGI or 930 KSEI as well as watched live on isubengals.com.

Idaho State returns to Holt Arena on Oct. 13 for a contest against UC Davis. Kickoff is at 4 p.m.
