Bengals Go Pink to Play 4Kay

POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State women's basketball team will trade their orange and black for pink this weekend when they join the Play 4Kay movement in the fight against all forms of female cancer.

The Bengals will host the annual pink game on Saturday when they take on Montana State at 2 p.m. on the Idaho Central Credit Union Court inside Reed Gym.  Both teams will feature unique pink coloring in their appearance including a pink warm-up top and socks for ISU.  The coaching staffs from both teams will also wear the color.
Prior to the game 15 cancer survivors will be announced with the lineup for ISU. There will also be 500 pink ribbon lanyards given away to fans at the door.

"We are very proud to be a part of the Play4Kay nationwide initiative to help create awareness and to raise money to help fight women's cancers," Idaho State Head Coach Seton Sobolewski said. "Almost all of us have been affected in some way by women's cancers. We hope that in our own way we can contribute to the battle."

The Play 4Kay initiative or the Kay Yow Cancer Fund in connection with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and The V Foundation helps in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause.

"We encourage people to help us by wearing their pink on Saturday afternoon and to consider making a donation that will go toward scientific research for women's cancers," Sobolewski said.
