POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State coach
Bill Evans has announced the signings of Kyle Ingram and Clint Nwosuh.
Nwosuh is a 6-2, 190 pound guard from Motlow State Community College. Nwosuh prepped at Alief Hastings High School in Houston, Texas, where he earned all-city and honorable mention all-state honors. Nwosuh signed with Alcorn State out of high school and appeared in 11 games as a freshman before transferring to Motlow State.
At Motlow State, Nwosuh averaged 14 points a game, shot 46 percent from the floor and 44 percent from the three-point line. He made a school record 11 3-pointers on 16 attempts in one game and scored a season-high 37 points. He also was an 87 percent free throw shooter.
"Clint comes from a winning program," Evans said. "I like his versatility. He can play three positions and he is very skilled."
Ingram is a 6-8, 220 pound post player from Fresno City College. He averaged six points a game and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 63 percent from the floor. He also averaged one block a game. Ingram prepped at J. Serra High School in Pasadena, Calif.
"Kyle plays in a great junior college program in California," Evans said. "Fresno City is always one of the top five teams in the state. That in and of itself is a plus. He comes from a winning program. His stats are misleading because where he comes from, they sub guys in and out like hockey. He can play on the perimeter and score around the basket."
With the signings of Ingram and Nwosuh, the men's basketball program has signed four student-athletes for the 2015-16 season. Stephen Lennox, a 6-8, 215 pound post player from Lovington High School in New Mexico signed last week and AliFaruqbey a 6-2, 175 pound guard from Arizona Western College signed in November.
Evans has also announced that
Marcus Bradley and
Andre Slavik will not return to the program.
