Four Bengals Post Double-Digit Kills, But ISU Falls to Weber State

Pocatello, ID---Ali Gorny led four Bengals in double-figures, but it wasn't enough as Idaho State lost to Weber State, 30-25, 25-30, 30-18, 30-21, in Big Sky Conference volleyball action Saturday afternoon at Reed Gymnasium.

Gorny, a sophomore from Littlerock, CA, had a team-high 15 kills. Hannah Jentzsch and Kylie Gilmore each had 13 kills and Jennie James had 12 kills. Amanda Meixel, playing her last match as a Bengal, had her ninth double-double of the season with 57 assists and 11 digs. Freshman Felice Yocopis tied her career high with 20 digs, playing at the libero position. Kellie DeHaas had 17 digs and three assists.

Stephanie Metcalf led the way for the Wildcats with 17 kills and 14 digs. Michelle Smith, Stephanie Kropushek and Holly Montano each had at least 10 kills for WSU. As a team the Wildcats hit .306, compared with .177 for the Bengals.

With the loss the Bengals ended their season with a 9-18 overall record and a 3-11 mark in Big Sky play. Weber State improved to 18-11 overall and 9-5 in Big Sky play.
