Boise -- Kamie Olsen and Melanie Tucker each reached double figures in kills, helping the Idaho State Bengals to a 30-24, 30-21, 30-24, win over Boise State in women's collegiate volleyball action Wednesday night at the Pavilion.
Tucker, a senior from Escondido, CA, posted her fourth double-double of the season with 12 kills and 13 digs, a team high. She also hit a sparkling .579 with one error in 19 total attacks.
Olsen, a sophomore from South Jordan, UT, posted her highest kill total of the season for a three-game match with 13. That total was a team high for ISU.
Ali Gorny had a strong match as well with seven kills and 12 digs. Jennie James had nine kills, a .471 attack percentage and a team-high four blocks.
As a team the Bengals hit .339, the second highest attack percentage this season. They held Boise State to just .177. Boise hurt its own cause with 14 service errors in the match.
Idaho State improves to 6-6 for the season with the win, while Boise State falls to 1-8. The Bengals will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Los Angeles, CA, to take on Loyola-Marymount at 8 p.m.
