Idaho State Volleyball Falls to Northern Arizona

Flagstaff, AZ---Northern Arizona used a balanced offensive attack to hand Idaho State its second straight loss to start the Big Sky Conference season, 30-21, 30-28, 30-22, in women's volleyball action Saturday night at the Rolle Activity Center.

The Bengals, who dropped a five-game decision to Sacramento State on Thursday, struggled on offense hitting just .119 for the match. Ali Gorny led the way for the Bengals with 12 kills. Amanda Meixel had 39 assists and seven digs for ISU.

Ellie Butterfield led the way for Northern Arizona with 10 kills. Five Lumberjacks had at least seven kills with Rebecca Wooden, Megan Van Anda and Claire Robertson posting eight each. Chelsea Robb had 20 digs for NAU.

With the loss ISU falls to 6-9 overall and 0-2 in Big Sky Conference play. Northern Arizona improves to 6-8 overall and 2-0 in Big Sky Confernce play. The Bengals will return home to take on Montana State on Friday, October 4th at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym.
