Montana Hands Idaho State Seventh Straight Loss, 3-0

Missoula, MT--The University of Montana handed the Idaho State Bengals their seventh straight loss, by a count of 3-0, Thursday afternoon at UM South Campus Field in Big Sky Conference women's soccer action.

Two goals in the first six minutes of the game put the Bengals behind the eight-ball and they never were able to recover. Casey Joyner scored just 2:29 into the game and she was followed by Lindsay Williams who scored 5:32 into the game for a 2-0 Grizzlie lead.

Montana controlled play in the first half, outshooting the Bengals 8-3 and taking two corner kicks to none for the Bengals. ISU outshot UM 8-4 in the second half, but couldn't break through. Joyner then sealed the game with a goal at the 65:23 mark.

With the loss the Bengals fall to 4-8-1 overall and 0-2 in Big Sky Conference play. The shutout was the seventh straight against the Bengals. Montana improved to 6-7-2 and 2-0. ISU will return to action on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. when it hosts Eastern Washington University at Davis Field.
