Poole's 25 Not Enough as Bengals Drop Close One to Boise State 87-78

Pocatello, ID --- Idaho State got a career-night with 25 points to go along with five assists, five rebounds, and six steals, but the Bengals couldn't hold off Boise State, dropping an 87-78 decision at Reed Gym.

The Bengals were down nine at the break and by as much as 14 in the second half before a 23-7 run cut it to 66-64, but the Bengals could get no closer. Idaho State was hurt on the glass, as they were outrebounded 46-32. The Bengals were able stay within reach by turning the ball over just 12 times, forcing 21 turnovers.

Poole consistently drove to the basket, hitting a career-best 10 field goals, and he was 4-for-5 from the line for the game. Henry added 18 points, his best point total of the season before fouling out late in the game.

The Bengals get right back to action on Saturday as they host their second straight top-50 RPI team with Utah State at 7:05 pm.
