#57 Boise State Hands ISU Women's Tennis First Loss of the Season

Pocatello, ID---The 57th-ranked Boise State Broncos handed the Idaho State Bengals their first loss of the 2003 season with a 7-0 decision at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center in collegiate women's tennis action Saturday afternoon.

The Broncos were simply too much for the Bengals, winning all three doubles matches and all six singles tilts. All except for the number one singles match were by decisive margins. With the match already decided, 73rd-ranked Renate Stoop of BSU and Eka Jvania battled it out before Stoop finally edged Jvania in two sets, 6-4, 7-5. The loss was Jvania's first of the season.

Idaho State fell to 3-1 with the loss, it's first of the season. Boise State remained undefeated at 3-0. ISU will wrap up play in Boise with a match against Gonzaga on Sunday at 12 noon.
