Ogden, UT---Malcolm Swan won his 18th singles match of the season, helping Idaho State University to its second straight win, a 6-1 victory over Weber State Tuesday afternoon.
Swan, a senior from Cairons, Queensland, Australia, improved to 18-6 on the season with a 6-3, 6-4, win over Don Williams at number one. He also picked up his 10th doubles victory of the season, teaming with Adam Krupp for an 8-2 win at number one.
Ioannis Stavridis defeated Kenny Lindley, 6-1, 6-2, at number three for his 10th singles win of the season. Krupp defeated Andrew Corlett, 7-5, 6-3, at number four, Pablo Garces defeated Zach Rideout, 6-2, 6-0, at number five and Jemre Okoh defeated Daniel Abeaboeru at number six, 6-4, 6-4.
With the win Idaho State improved to 5-9 overall on the season, while the Wildcats fell to 2-7. ISU has a busy weekend ahead of it with three Big Sky Conferences matches in two days. ISU will take on Portland State on Friday at 1:00 p.m. in Pocatello. The Bengals will then host Big Sky foes Northern Arizona and Eastern Washington on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., respectively.
