58th Ranked Brigham Young Downs Idaho State Women's Tennis

Provo, UT---The 58th ranked Brigham Young University Cougars swept all six singles matches and all three doubles tilts to defeat Idaho State University in women's tennis action Wednesday afternoon.

Five of the six singles matches were decided in two sets, with Kristina Arutjunova the lone Bengal to take a set from a Cougar opponent. Arutjunova, playing at number six singles, dropped a tough 6-3, 2-6, 10-7, decision in the last match of the day. Eka Jvania put up a tough fight against Leez Klempner, but fell in two sets, 6-4, 6-2.

With the loss, Idaho State saw its four-match win streak end. The Bengals are now 9-5 overall on the season. BYU improved to 9-10 on the season. Idaho State will return to action in just two days when they host Portland State at the ISU Tennis Courts at 2:00 p.m.
