Ogden, UT--Ashli Kimenker scored her first goal of the season in the 36th minute as Idaho State battled its way to a 1-1 tie in double-overtime against Weber State Thursday afternoon in Ogden, Utah.

With the tie, Idaho State pushes its record to 5-3-3 overall, 0-0-1 in Big Sky play. Weber State goes to 3-7-1 overall, 0-0-1 in conference action.

"We're not happy with a tie," said ISU head coach Mark Salisbury. "I think we played a tough road game, but at the same time it's disappointing to come away with a tie when we know we could have won this game."

ISU's goal came in the 36th minute when Kimenker received a pass from Jennifer Loo at the top of the box. The junior midfielder then lofted a shot up and over Weber State goalkeeper Melanie Stratford for the 1-0 lead. Anastasia Katsilometes was also credited with an assist on the score.

Bengal keeper Shannon Boyle was impressive in goal, leading the Bengals to a solid defensive effort. Boyle played all 110 minutes, recording seven saves with one goal allowed.

Weber State scored its lone goal of the contest in the second half when Sarah Cortez placed the ball in the net in the 60th minute. The goal was assisted by Rochelle Hoover and Erica Kilbourne.

As a team, Idaho State recorded 15 total shots, nine of which were on goal. The Wildcats had 23 shots with eight on goal. ISU tallied two corner kicks to WSU's five, while the Bengals tallied just three fouls to Weber's nine.

The Bengals will continue Big Sky Conference play on Oct. 15 when the team travels to take on Eastern Washington in Cheney, Washington. ISU's next home game will be an Oct. 17 matchup with Montana at Davis Field.
