Pocatello, ID -- Idaho State University defensive ends coach Jeff Copp has announced that he is joining the Utah State football coaching staff. Copp spent one season at Idaho State as an assistant coach.
Copp both played and coached under new Aggie Head Coach Brent Guy as he was a defensive end at Boise State during Guy's tenure as defensive coordinator there and was a graduate assistant working with safeties at Arizona State while Guy coordinated the Sun Devils' defense.
Copp, who graduated from Boise State with a degree in health sciences in 2001, most coached the defensive ends at Idaho State in 2004. The Idaho Falls, Idaho native worked with ASU's safeties as a graduate assistant from 2001-03 before joining the ISU staff last year.
As a player at Boise State, Copp earned all-Big West honors and helped the team to consecutive Humanitarian Bowl championships in 1999 and 2000.
