Pocatello, ID--Despite a team-high 16 points from Natalie Doma and 10 second half points from India Soo, Idaho State fell 65-54 Thursday night at Reed Gym. The Bengals now head to Lubbock, Texas for a Sunday matchup with 14th-ranked Texas Tech.

After trailing by as many as 16 points in the second half, Idaho State rallied to cut the lead to two points, 52-50, but couldn't get any closer as Wyoming held on to its lead to take the win.

"It was my worse fear come true the way we started the game," said ISU head coach Jon Newlee. "We came out sluggish and didn't get it going until the second half."

Doma collected her 16 points on 6-of-15 shots from the field, a perfect 4-of-4 from the line. The freshman center also tallied three blocks, a steal, and an assist. Soo scored all 10 of her points in the second half on 4-of-10 shooting, including two key three pointers that kept ISU in the game in the second half.

Molly Hays helped the Bengals with 13 points and seven rebounds. The sophomore forward also collected two assists, two steals, and a block.

Ashley Elliott led the Cowgirls with a game-high 28 points on 8-of-15 shots from the field, including an impressive 6-of-10 from beyond the arc. Hanna Zavecz helped with 17 points and eight rebounds.

Idaho State trailed by nine, 31-22, at the half. Wyoming extended its lead to as many as 16 points, 43-27, at the 12:20 mark in the second. Idaho State then cut the lead to just two, 52-50, but couldn't get it any closer as Wyoming extended its lead back to 11 to secure the win.

"It's a 40 minute game and we need to start playing every minute," Newlee said. "It's something we need to work on."

As a team, Idaho State shot just 34 percent from the field and 29 percent from beyond the arc. The Cowgirls shot 40 percent from the field, 34 percent from beyond the arc. Wyoming out-rebounded the Bengals 36-33. The Bengals tallied 17 turnovers to Wyoming's 16.
