Logan, UT--The Idaho State men's tennis team took a 4-3 victory from Utah State Tuesday afternoon in Logan, Utah. With the win, ISU takes the season series 2-1 against the Aggies.
The Bengals up their record to 9-6 overall, while Utah State falls to 8-11.
Jemre Okoh and Ivan Moferdin teamed up at second doubles to snag ISU's first win-an 8-5 victory over Utah State's Hannes Schenk and Lukas Bouton. ISU's Pablo Garces and Marc Pijoan picked up an 8-2 win at third doubles against USU's Tyler Bastian/Ryan Bair duo.
Ioannis Stavridis earned a 6-3, 7-5 win against Utah State's Schenk at second singles. Pijoan won a fourth singles against Roshan Rasekhi, 6-4, 7-6. Garces secured ISU's team victory, defeating USU's Bastian 6-3, 1-6, 6-0 at fifth singles.
The Bengals will be in action again on April 21 when the team travels to Ogden to take on Big Sky foe Weber State.
