ISU Men's Tennis Takes a 5-2 Victory over Nevada in Reno

Reno, NV-Idaho State took at 5-2 victory against the University of Nevada Friday afternoon in Reno, Nevada. The Bengals took five singles wins to claim the match.

Nevada took the first point of the match, winning two of the three doubles matches. ISU then battled back in singles competition, winning five of the six contests to win the match.

Ioannis Stavridis got a win at second singles, defeating Rudolf Leuschner 6-3, 6-0. Ivan Moferdin won at third singles over Nevada's Milos Popovic, 6-4, 6-4. Marc Pijoan claimed victory at fourth singles against Dainel Ericsson in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. Kapil Desai got into action for the Bengals at fifth singles, defeating Brandon Sieh, 5-7, 6-2 (12-10), and Masimba Ruow won at the sixth spot, 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 against Rafal Stupka.

Moferdin and Jemre Okoh teamed up to win the lone doubles match for the Bengals, defeating Leuschner and Sieh 9-7.

Idaho State continues action Saturday afternoon against Big Sky foe Sacramento State at 2 p.m.
