Sept. 17, 2004

Moscow, ID--Despite outshooting it's opponent 23-10, the Idaho State soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 2-1 Friday to in-state rival Idaho in a governor's cup match. With the loss, Idaho State falls to 4-1-1 overall on the season. Idaho improves to 2-4-0 overall.

The Bengals rallied in the second half, tallying 17 shots against the Vandal defense. Idaho State was able to get on the scoreboard in the second when Shawna Park put the ball in the net in the 61st minute on a direct kick. The goal was Park's third of the season.

ISU keeper Shannon Boyle played all 90 minutes in goal, recording two saves in the effort. Park led the Bengals with six shots, while Jessie Bobert added four.
