Sept. 19, 2004

Spokane, WA--The Idaho State women's soccer team finished up its two-game road trip with a 2-1 loss at Gonzaga Sunday afternoon in Spokane, Wash.

ISU was first to get on the scoreboard when Jennifer Loo connected on a shot from the right side of the box to the left side of the net in the 20th minute of the game. The goal, assisted by Jessie Bobert, is her second of the season.

The goal took the Bengals into halftime with a 1-0 lead.

The lead lasted until Gonzaga's Annie Hawkins scored her fourth goal of the season in the 62nd minute. Hawkins received a cross from teammate Heather Horn in the middle of the box for a straight shot at the goal.

Gonzaga scored again in the 83rd minute when Heather Horn placed a shot in the net after receiving an assist from teammates Hawkins and Jamie Blanche. The go-ahead score was enough to secure the win for the Zags.

The Bengals had many opportunities to score, out-shooting Gonzaga 7-4 on shots on goal. ISU tallied 10 shots on the afternoon. Gonzaga keeper Ashley Haugen played all 90 minutes, tallying six saves during the contest. ISU's Shannon Boyle played 90 minutes with two saves.

ISU will have the week off before hosting in-state rival Boise State next Sunday, Sept. 26 at 1 p.m.
