Pocatello, ID--Ali Gorny recorded her second straight double-double with 14 kills and 10 digs, while Kamie Olsen tallied a game-high 17 kills as Idaho State kept it's Big Sky record perfect with a 3-1 win over Montana Saturday night at Reed Gym.

After falling 26-30 in the first game, Idaho State won three straight; 30-23, 30-21, and 32-30 to win the match. With the win, Idaho State improves to 6-10 overall, 2-0 in Big Sky play. Montana falls to 2-9 overall, 0-2 in conference play.

"It feels great," said ISU head coach Mike Welch when asked about the win. "We took care of business tonight. I thought we were creative offensively. Our hitters did a good job of placing the ball. We played smart."

Heather Kinnison helped the Bengals with a career-high 16 kills. She attacked the ball 32 times for an attack percentage of .281. Sophomore libero Ashley VanderBloomen recorded her fifth 20-plus dig match of the season with 25 on the night.

Senior setter Martha Brinton led the Bengals with 34 assists, while Gorny tallied a team-high five blocks to add to her double-double.

Claudia Houle recorded a team-high 17 kills with 12 digs for Montana. Diana Thompson led the Grizzlies with 44 assists, while Jackie White tallied a team-high 23 digs.

The Bengals will head out on the road for three straight. ISU will travel to play Portland State on Sept. 30 and Eastern Washington on Oct. 2.

"Going out on the road in the Big Sky Conference is tough," Welch said. "You have to win at home in this conference. There is actually a lot less pressure on the road. I think our team will be relaxed and they'll just go out and play with all their hearts."

ISU's next home match will be on Oct. 15 when the team hosts Northern Arizona.
