Pocatello, ID--Despite a Herculean 22-kill, 27-dig effort from senior Felice Yocopis, Idaho State dropped a heartbreaking 3-2 match to Montana Friday night at Reed Gym. The Bengals will look to get back on track Saturday when the team hosts Montana State at 7 p.m.
"Every Big Sky match is going to be a battle," said ISU head coach Mike Welch. "Montana came into league play with a very impressive non-conference record. They are a talented team."
After winning game one 30-25, Idaho State fell 20-30 in game two before coming back to win game three 30-27. Montana tied things up a 2-2 with a 30-22 win in game four to force the game five. The Grizz then snuck away with a 13-15 win in game five to secure the match.
The loss drops the Bengals to 8-12 overall, 2-4 in Big Sky play. Montana improves to 11-9 overall, 1-5 in league play.
