Cedar City, UT--Idaho State's comeback fell just short, falling 4-3 to Southern Utah Saturday in Cedar City, Utah.
After dropping two of three doubles matches to go down 1-0, Idaho State rallied to take the first two singles contests. Soutern Utah then won the next three to take the 4-3 win.
ISU's Courtney Bennion and Valerie Espinosa defeated Lisseth Hoyos and Casie Brooks at No. 3 doubles.
Denise Cockrell won at No. 1 singles, defeating SUU's Cristina Garcia, 6-3, 6-3. Armine Sarkavagyan also picked up a win for the Bengals, defeating Hoyos 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.
Ashley Hill picked up ISU's third point of the match, defeating Brooks 7-6, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
ISU now heads to Las Vegas, Nevada for its spring break tournament March 14-17.
