Las Vegas, NV--Idaho State picked up its first win of the season, defeating Bradley 4-3 in its opening match at Bally's in Las Vegas. Despite dropping two of three doubles matches to fall behind 1-0, Idaho State rallied to take four singles wins to secure the victory.
Courtney Bennion and Valerie Espinosa paired up to defeat Bradley's Katie Bowen and Jess Sampias 8-4 at No. 3 doubles.
ISU's Armine Sarkavagyan picked up ISU's first singles victory, defeating Ashley Morris 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Espinosa also picked up a singles win against Kelley Wood, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Quinlan Hatch defeated Katie Bowen 6-3, 6-2 at No. 5, while Ashley Hill got past Jess Sampias 7-5, 6-4.
Next up for Idaho State will be a Tuesday matchup with Wisconsin-Green Bay at 1 p.m.
