Pocatello, ID--The Idaho State men's tennis team defeated Big Sky Conference foe Weber State 6-1 Tuesday afternoon at the ISU Tennis Courts at Reed Gym
The Bengals won two of the three doubles matches to take the early 1-0 lead. ISU then won five of the six singles contests to take the 6-1 victory.
Marc Pijoan and Ivan Moferdin teamed up at No. 1 doubles to defeat Jonathan Engelbrecht and Zach Levetan 8-4. Masimba Ruwo and Jemre Okoh also teamed for ISU at No. 2 doubles to defeat Weber State's duo of CJ Adamson and Mathis Saberon 9-8.
Both Moferdin and Pijoan snagged singles victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots respectively. Pablo Garces won at No. 3 singles, Ruwo won at No. 5 singles, while Okoh took a win at No. 6 singles.
The Bengals head to Montana to face Montana State and Montana this weekend. The two matches will wrap up the regular season for ISU.
