Pocatello, ID--The Idaho State men's tennis team took a 5-2 win over Big Sky Conference foe Eastern Washington Friday afternoon at the ISU Tennis Courts at Reed Gym.
After dropping two of three doubles contest to fall behind 1-0 early, Idaho State rallied to win five of the six singles matches to secure the victory.
Ivan Moferdin won a straight set match over EWU's Brian Garfield at No. 1 singles, while ISU's Marc Pijoan won a 6-3, 6-4 decision over Patrick Millican at the third spot. Pablo Garces won at No. 4 singles, defeating Kevin Gregg in straight sets. Masimba Ruwo won at No. 5 singles over Keithan Erickson, while Ryo Sakamoto won at sixth singles, 7-5, 3-6, (10/7).
Next up for ISU will an April 12 road trip to Utah State.
