Ogden, UT--Despite an easy win in game one, Idaho State dropped the next three to drop a 3-1 (30-20, 16-30, 19-30, 23-30) decision to Weber State Thursday night at Swenson Gym.
The Bengals fall to 9-19 overall, 5-10 in Big Sky play. With the win, Weber State improves to 6-23 overall, 2-11 in league play.
Ashlyn McDowell led the Bengal attack with nine kills. McDowell had her nine kills on 28 attacks with six errors for a .107 hitting mark. Nikki Havens and Karli Maughan added eight kills each, while Zoe Beltz helped with seven kills.
Amanda Bevens set up the Bengal offense with a team-high 35 assists. She also added eight digs on the night.
Bri Beal led the ISU defense with 14 digs. With 453 digs on the season, Beal is now just 24 digs shy of the all-time Idaho State single season record for digs.
As a team, Idaho State recorded 46 kills while hitting .134. The Wildcats connected on 61 kills with a .328 hitting mark.
Leah Burmeister led Weber State with a match-high 16 kills. Burmeister recorded just one error and had a .577 hitting mark on the night.
The Bengals will continue road play at league leader Sacramento State on Saturday night. The team will then return home for its final regular season game of the season against Utah State on Nov. 7.
