Idaho State Men's Tennis Defeats Weber State 5-2

Las Vegas, NV--The Idaho State's Men's Tennis defeated Weber state 5-2 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex Saturday. Three doubles wins and four singles wins handed the Bengals their second Big Sky win of the season.

The Bengals dominated the doubles point by dictating all three doubles matches which put the Bengals up 1-0. Marc Pijoan and Alan Mohadeb won their first match together against Sascha Kiehne and Fabio Mancarella 8-5. Pablo Garces and Alex Danilkovich defeated Mathis Saberon and Trevor Thompson 8-5. Ryo Sakamoto and Masimba Ruwo beat Williams and Rideout 8-6.

Pijoan defeated Kiehne 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1. Danilkovich swept Zach Rideout 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3. Ruwo also scored for the Bengals defeating Saberon 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4. Mohadeb beat Thompson 6-3, 7-5 at No. 6 for his first singles win as a Bengal.

The Bengals next match will occur Feb. 8 in Salt Lake City against Utah at 5 p.m.
