Women's Tennis Falls 4-3 against Montana State

Pocatello, ID--The Idaho State women's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to Big Sky foe Montana State Saturday afternoon at Reed Gym in Pocatello, Idaho. ISU's record drops to 1-14 in the season.

The Bengals dropped two of the three doubles matches to go down 1-0. Katherine Zigars and Valerie Espinosa teamed up at No. 2 doubles to defeat Vera Vasileva and Katy Clarke 9-7.

The Bobcats then won three of the six singles matches to secure the 4-3 victory. Lauren Pascoe fought hard to defeat Vasileva in three sets 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3 singles. Espinosa won at the No. 4 spot, taking down Lisa Clark 6-1, 6-1. Zigars defeated Allison Fey 6-1, 6-4 at the No. 5 spot.

ISU's next match will occur on Wednesday, April 19 against Weber State in Ogden at 2 p.m.
