Pocatello, ID--The ISU women's tennis team was defeated by Montana 6-1 at Reed Gym Saturday afternoon. ISU's record is 1-16 for the season. The Bengals lost five of the six singles matches.
ISU lost two of the three doubles contests dropping them 1-0 early in the match. Valerie Espinosa and Katherine Zigars defeated Cheyne Ursich and Malena Rosen 9-8 (3) at No. 3 doubles.
The Bengals then lost five of the six singles matches. Denise Cockrell ended her senior year with a win for the Bengals against Lit Walker in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 singles.
The Bengals said goodbye to two seniors, Cockrell and Armine Sarkavagyan. ISU is looking forward to next season.
