Nov. 10, 2007

Final Stats

Pocatello, ID --- Idaho State senior Katie Edgson needed 12 digs to reach the 1,000 career dig mark. She and the Bengals came up short and the team lost 3-1 (31-29, 26-30, 23-30, 18-30) and Edgson got 11 digs, falling just one short. Idaho State was planning to stop the match to honor Edgson when she got dig number 1,000, but it wasn't meant to be. Edgson was honored before the game as the teams only senior on senior night.

Emily Waldron and Britta Bartschi both came up with 12 kills to lead the team in that category. Charlie Kinghorn had 12 digs and Ashlyn McDowell matched her career high with 7 blocks. Blakely Peppinger and Christine Van Orden both had 23 assists.

The story on the Northern Arizona side was three big performances. Kim Babcock smashed 32 kills hitting .520 along the way. She also had 13 digs. Brittany Stowers came up with 28 digs and Kelly Verboom provided 59 assists.

That wraps up the home season for the Idaho State Bengals. They will hit the road for their final two matches of the season. The Bengals will face Montana State on November 16 and Montana State on November 17.
