Bengals Beat Bobcats Behind Van Orden's Double-Double

Bozeman, MT --- The Idaho State Bengals snap their seven match losing streak with a road win over Montana State 3-1 (30-26, 27-30, 30-24, 31-29). It is the second conference win of the season for the Bengals. Both wins coming at the Bobcats expense. Idaho State is now 6-22 overall and 2-13 in the Big Sky. Montana State falls to 1-26 overall and 0-15 in conference.

Christine Van Orden smacked a career high 10 kills while hitting .500. She also chipped in 25 assists for her 10th double-double of the season, but her first involving kills. Britta Bartschi led the team in that category with 15 kills. Bartschi also rose up for 6 blocks. Four Bengals reached double digit digs led by Jenna Proost who had 16 of them. Sarah Carson also had a solid match with 14 kills and 6 blocks.

The Bobcats were led by Patti Anderson who registered 20 kills, 10 digs and 4 blocks. Van Orden's former teammate at Idaho Falls High School Meghan Albiston led Montana State with 25 digs.

Idaho State will wrap up the 2007 season Saturday night in Missoula as they finish up against the Montana Grizzlies.
