Bengals Dominated Kennesaw State from Opening Minute in 87-68 Victory

Lubbock, TX --- Four Bengals scored in double figures as Idaho State finished up the Basketball Travelers Classic with a strong 87-68 victory over Kennesaw State in Lubbock, Texas Saturday afternoon. Idaho State won two out of three games in the tournament to improve to 3-2 on the season. Kennesaw State falls to 3-4.

The Owls took at 2-0 lead early in the first half, but a Natalie Doma jumper just a minute into the game gave the Bengals the lead for good. Idaho State would lead by 21 at one point before polishing off the 19 point victory.

Doma and Andrea Lightfoot both scored 23 points to lead the Bengal charge. Idaho State also got 12 points from both Jenna Brown and Devin Diehl. Brown dished out nine assists and Lightfoot continued her run of quality rebounding by clamping on to nine boards.

The Owls got 16 points a piece from Greteya Kelley and DeAndrea Bullock. Bullock also chipped in nine rebounds to lead Kennesaw State in that category.

Next up for the Bengals is a home game against the Utah State Aggies Wednesday, November 28 at Reed Gym. Tip off is scheduled for 7:05 pm.

Notes: ISU out-rebounded their opponent in all three games of the Basketball Travelers Classic... Andrea Lightfoot averaged nine rebounds per game this week. She was averaging three per game entering the tournament... Natalie Doma grabbed six rebounds making it the first time this season she did not get a double-double.
