Final Stats

Laramie, WY - The Idaho State Bengals have trouble finding the net as they shoot 29 percent in a 76-50 loss to Wyoming to open the season Friday night. It was the season opener for both teams. The Bengals are 0-1, while the Cowgirls go 1-0. Idaho State trailed by 9 points at the half, but Wyoming outscored the Bengals 17 in the second half.

Natalie Doma was the only Bengal to score in double digits with 14 points. She struggled from the floor shooting 4-16, but she was perfect from the charity stripe going 6-6. She also grabbed 10 rebounds for the double-double. Those 6 free throws were just enough to put her on top of the career free throws made list at Idaho State. Doma passes Mandi Carver with her 355th career free throw. Carver had 354. Jenna Brown and Andrea Lightfoot both added 9 points each.

Justyna Podziemska paced the Wyoming attack with 19 points. 15 of those came from beyond the arc. The Cowgirls shot 47 percent as a team.

Idaho State will come back to Pocatello for a Tuesday home game against Montana Tech. Game set to start at 7:00 pm at Reed Gym.
