Pocatello, ID-- ISU Women's Tennis was defeated by Utah State 6-1 at Reed Gym Tuesday afternoon. The Bengals lost five of the six singles matches. Katie Zigars was the lone Bengal to win a singles match. ISU's record is 0-1 for the season.
The Bengals lost two of the three doubles matches to drop behind Utah State 1-0. Lisel Lewis and Stephanie Roldan won their doubles match against Brittany Watts and Briogette Strickland 9-7.
Idaho State then lost all five of the six singles contests to take the 6-1 loss. Senior Zigars defeated Erin Crane 6-1, 6-1. Valerie Espinosa played a tough match but lost in the super-tie-break against her opponent Briogette Strickland 2-6, 7-6(2) (11-9).
The Bengals next match will occur February 8th in Ogden against Weber State at 12 p.m.
