Ogden, UT-- ISU Women's Tennis was defeated by Weber State 5-2 at the Ogden Athletic Center Thursday afternoon. The Bengals lost four of the six singles matches. Freshman Lisel Lewis won her first singles victory as a Bengal at the number one spot.
The Bengals lost all three doubles matches dropping them behind Weber State 1-0.
Idaho State then lost four of the six singles contests to take the 5-2 loss. Lewis conquered Inalise Pienaar 6-4, 6-2 at number one. Stephanie Roldan also gained a victory for the Bengals by defeating Elsje Beneke 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 at number five. Lauren Pascoe played a tough match but lost in the super-tie-break against her opponent Gabi Venditto 4-6, 6-2, (10-6) at number two.
The Bengals next match will occur March 9th in Cedar City against Southern Utah at 1 p.m.
