Pocatello, ID--Jaclyn Hone recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 17 digs as the Bengals continue their winning streak with four straight to overcome Sacramento State in Reed Gym Friday afternoon in their second five set match of the season, for two in a row. The 18-25, 25-20, 14-25, 25-20, 15-12 victory improved Idaho State's Big Sky record to 4-8 thus keeping its chance alive to attend the Conference Tournament. Sacramento State who was fourth in the conference drops to a 6-5 Big Sky Record.

The afternoon was a flip-flop effort as each set would switch possession throughout play until Idaho State held onto its momentum with the fourth set victory to secure a lead in the fifth. Idaho State had two match-points, the first striped away from a service error by freshman Karissa Legaux. The Bengals had their worst service match of the season posting 14 service errors, fortunately Sacramento State had a difficult time as well posting seven to cut down the impact towards Idaho State.

The first set was captured by Sacramento State as they recorded 16 kills and eight errors from 34 attempts for a .235 percentage while Idaho State only posted eight kills. Idaho State turned right back around and overcame the Hornets with a .200 attack percentage to Sacramento State's .054 percentage. The third set then reverted back to Sacramento State who recorded the set-high .308 attack percentage. With the match on the line Idaho State swung freely to record a .281 attack percentage and reduced the Hornets to a .097 percentage. Sacramento State's percentage took a nose dive in the fifth as the recorded seven kills and seven errors from 37 attempts for a .000 attack.

Hone recorded 13 kills with six errors from 47 attempts for a .149 percentage and recorded two service aces. She was also effective defensively posting 17 digs and two block assists. Sophomore Britta Bartschi led the attack posting 14 kills with just four errors from 33 attempts for a .303 attack percentage. Bartschi also had four block assists.

Senior Blakely Peppinger and freshman Karissa Leguax shared the setter position each recording 24 and 20 assists respectively. Junior Ashlyn McDowell continues to lead the Bengals in blocks as she recorded eight blocks for the match, two of which were solos.

Idaho State will hit the road in one of the toughest swings of the conference, for their final two road matches of the season next week. The Bengals will begin the trip at Northern Colorado, who is now second in the conference after Portland State, on Thursday, November 13 at 7 p.m. and then head to Northern Arizona to compete on Saturday, November 15 at 7 p.m.

Notes: The victory marks the first time since 2004 that Idaho State has defeated the Hornets ... The last time Idaho State posted a four game winning streak with in 2003.
