With senior Michelle Grohs taking the lead posting eight back-to-back points sandwiched by threes in three minutes of play. Grohs' three-pointer from the right wing closed the gap to two points as the Broncos led 20-18. The Bengals improved their shot selection and found more uncontested spots on the floor to keep the game close.
Fast action by senior Jenna Brown earned the final four points for the Bengals into the break.
