Complete Portland State Results 
Pocatello, ID--The Bengals fell to Portland State on Friday afternoon in Reed Gym. The Vikings improved their season record to 4-7 with a 2-3 Big Sky record. The Bengals fell to an overall record of 0-5 putting them in a five match losing streak and dropping their Big Sky record to 0-2.
Idaho State gained a victory at the number two spot to fall short of the doubles point. Sophomores Lisel Lewis and Magaly Rivera gained the only victory of the day with an 8-1 defeat over Caitlin Stocking and Alyssa Ferry on court number two.
Three Bengals played three set matches. Lewis was the first three set match off the court. The Bengal went scoreless for seven straight games to begin the match, then broke serve to hold a five game winning streak before allowing Pflibsen to score one more game before finishing out the set. Unfortunately, Pflibsen returned to the mind-frame of the first set and was defeated by Lacey Pflibsen 6-0, 2-6, 6-1 at the number one spot.
Sophomore Lauren Pascoe was the second three set match to get off the court. Pascoe started off the match in domination with a 6-3 first set victory. She was up 5-1 in the first set and allowed her opponent Anya Dalkin to gain two more games before closing out the set. Then the Bengal dropped eleven straight games sealing the victory for Dalkin 3-6, 6-0, 6-1 at the number four spot.
Junior Stephanie Roldan was the last three set match of the day. She also started with a first set victory over opponent Stephanie Fuchs 6-4. Roldan then dropped the second set 6-3 and was unable to take a game in the third set for a final score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 loss at the number two spot.
Idaho State returns to action on March 27th at Sacramento State at 6 p.m.
