Complete Utah State Results 
Logan, Utah- Bengal tennis fell to Utah State 5-2, at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club Tuesday afternoon. Utah State improves to a season record of 7-13 with their second win of the season over the Bengals while Idaho State fell to a 2-10 record. Idaho State gained their victories for the day from doubles partners Valerie Espinosa and Sophie Dang when they won both their singles and doubles matches.
In doubles the Bengals gained a victory when Senior Espinosa and Sophomore Dang defeated Britney Watts and Taylor Perry 8-2 at the number two spot, improving their record to 4-2 for the season. At the number one doubles spot Sophomore Lisel Lewis and Junior Lauren Pascoe led 4-2 until they were overcome by Brianna Harris and Hailey Swenson who captured six games to win the match 8-4. Number three doubles was defaulted.
Returning late in the season from an injury, Espinosa won her fifth match over Marie Livingston improving her singles record to 5-2 for the season. Espinosa took the first set easily 6-2 but struggled in the second set when she fell 7-6 (7-3) in the tie breaker. Her second set loss fired her up to defeat Livingston 10-5 at the number five spot. Dang also captured a singles victory when she defeated Britney Watts at the number three spot. She captured the first set easily 6-3. Watts played tough in the second set taking Dang to a tie breaker but fell to the Bengal.
Lewis was defeated by Hailey Swenson 6-1, 6-2 at the number one spot. Junior Stephanie Roldan took two games in the second set before falling to Brianna Harris 6-0, 6-2 at the number two spot. Pascoe was defeated in her fifth three-set match of the season and her second super ten-point tiebreaker to Taylor Perry 2-6, 6-4, (12-10) at the number four spot. The number six singles spot was defaulted.
The Bengals return to action on Friday, April 18th at home in Reed Gym at 1 p.m. against Montana.
