Logan, UT --- Utah State used a 20-2 run early in the first half to pull away early, and then the Aggie poured it on from there, handing Idaho State a lopsided 77-44 loss in front of 9,026 fans at the Dee Glenn Smith Spectrum in Logan, Utah.

The Aggies seemed about as happy to return home as ISU was on Saturday, and their comfort level showed as they blitzed ISU in the first half with a wicked 20-2 run in which ISU went 0-for-9 from the field. During the run Utah State got a pair of threes from Brian Green and one from Jared Quayle as Utah State hit four threes in the opening stanza.

The run was finally ended when Deividas Busma powered a dunk home, but it was already too little too late. The Aggies haven't lost a regular season non-conference home game since January 8, 2000 when they lost to Brigham Young, and that streak was never in jeopardy.

Pooh Williams for Utah State opened the second half with the first points to quell any comeback thoughts. ISU however fought better in the second, scoring 28 points as opposed to just 16 in the first.

For the Bengals, Amorrow Morgan led ISU with 19 points, and he was the only Bengal in double-figures, although Austin Kilpatrick added three threes for nine points. For Utah State, Tai Wesley had 19, and Brian Green added 12 as Utah State spread the scoring around with four other players scoring either seven or eight.

The Aggies outrebounded ISU 43-24, with Rolando Little grabbing a game-high six. The Bengals now continue their four-game road swing with a game at UMKC on Saturday night at 6:05 pm Mountain Time.

NOTES: Kilpatrick has hit at least one three in every game this season ... ISU had just seven assists, compared to 19 for the Aggies ... ISU shot .327 from the field and .214 from the three ... ISU was 9-of-11 from the free throw line.
