"It's good to get a win on the road and start off with a win in conference play," said head coach Chad Tiechert. "Overall we played pretty well, we had some serving errors, but we did a lot of good things and passed/served pretty well and Karissa (Legaux) set a good match."
Sophomore setter Karissa Legaux posted a match-high 51 assists, placing her just one assist shy of matching her career-high of 52, which she posted against Northern Arizona on the road last season.

"Overall she played well," said Teichert of outside hitter Waldron. "She had a good hitting percentage tonight. Britta connected with the ball really well tonight too."

She posted five kills and a dig before leaving the match.
Idaho State held a lead in the third set but was overcome 27-25 as the Lumberjacks won several long rallies which ensued late in the set. The Bengals came out focused in the fourth set quickly posting a 14-7 lead. The Lumberjacks fought hard to come within a point of ISU at 18-17, but ISU would finish strong.
"Overall we were balanced offensively and defensively," said Teichert. "All the girls did good things, hopefully we can continue."
The Bengals will play Northern Colorado in Greeley at the Butler Hancock Sports Pavilion in their final road match of an 11-match road swing on September 19 at 7 p.m.
