MISSOULA, Mont. - Idaho State (5-9-2, 0-3-1 BSC) fell 1-0 to Montana (2-11-2, 1-3-0 BSC) at South Campus Stadium Sunday afternoon for the Griz's first Big Sky win of the season. Idaho State out-shot it second straight opponent posting 14 to Montana's 12.

Montana's Kaitlyn Heinsohn scored the game-winning goal 20 yards out from the right wing at the 36:14 mark. Ashley Tombelaine was credited with the assist. The goal ended Montana's scoreless drought of 492:06. Montana is the second straight Big Sky team to capture their first league victory against ISU.

The Griz were held to just two shots on goal in the first period, while Idaho State posted five for the entire contest. Idaho State's freshman goalkeeper Carly Hutchings earned her first career start playing all 90 minutes. Hutchings made one save and allowed one goal.

Montana's keeper Kendra McMillen, who made four saves in 62:50, was replaced by Kristen Hoon who finished out the contest after McMillen was injured during a collision.

Idaho State sophomore Ashley Jones posted a game-high two shots on goal. Senior Lauren Ryan and sophomore Rachel Strawn each posted three shots during the game. Montana's Erin Craig posted a game-high five shots on goal.
