Bengals Sweep Northern Arizona on the Road

POCATELLO, Idaho -
Idaho State swept Northern Arizona in three sets (25-21, 25-21, 26-24) on the road at the Rolle Activity Center Saturday night to split over the weekend.  Senior outside hitter Haylee Thompson-Brock posted a match-high 13 kills while notching seven digs. 

Junior right side hitter Jaclyn Hone posted her fifth straight double-figure kill match with 12, while hitting a season-high .375 attack percentage.  Senior middle hitter Britta Bartschi-Rhodehouse chipped in 11 points hitting .346 for the match.

Senior middle blocker Sarah Carson posted a match-high .727 attack percentage for her season-high mark.  She also notched two block assists.

The Bengals out-hit NAU .262 to .221 for the match.  Only two Lumberjacks recorded double-figures in kills with Niki Small and Jen Wilson both posting 10.  The 'Jacks out-blocked Idaho State 12-to-5 with Wilson and Katie Bailey notching a match-high seven block assists each.

Senior libero Jenna Proost, who came off a career-high 27 digs at Northern Colorado, posted 16 digs against Northern Arizona for her fifth-straight double-figure dig match.  Sophomore Breanne Van Every chipped in 11 digs.  Junior setter Karissa Legaux posted a match-high 44 assists.

Idaho State improves to 14-11 for the season and 6-6 in league play while Northern Arizona falls to 8-13 for the year and 4-7 in Big Sky action.

The Bengals return to Pocatello to host their final matches of the season at Reed Gym.  The Bengals host Texas Pan American on Thursday, November 4, at 5 p.m. and Sacramento State on Saturday, November 6, at 7 p.m.
