POCATELLO, Idaho - The Idaho State women had a decisive victory over the College of Idaho and Utah State as ISU took four of the top five spots to compile a team score of 19 Saturday at ISU's own Centennial Course. Senior Erica Wendt-Richardson and junior Bradi Hutchison led ISU as the duo crossed the finish line holding hands to tie for first-place overall, both finishing the 4K course in a time of 15:27. Idaho State's men team continued to struggle as the team fell 31-25 to the College of Idaho.

Freshman Nicole Peterson helped lead Idaho State to a near perfect score as she finished third with a time of 15:48.00 while junior Cydney Jacobsen finished fifth overall with a time of 16:02.00. Sophomore Chloe Palakovich rounded out the top five Bengal runners with her eighth-place overall finish in a time of 16:07.00.

"The women are just doing better and better," ISU Head Coach Brian Janssen said. "It's interesting at three, four and five we move around a bunch which is a good and bad sign. It's a good sign if they all happen to hit on the same day which would mean a whole lot of threes and that's what we hope for in a few weeks."

Senior Ryan Davis led the Bengal men with a second-place overall finish, just eight seconds behind first-place finisher Greg Montgomery of the College of Idaho. Davis finished the 6K loop at Centennial Course in a time of 18:56.00. Sophomore Bryce Jenkins and senior Zac Barrett finished second and third for Idaho State, respectively. Jenkins finished fifth overall with a time of 19:12.00 while Barrett took eighth place with a time of 19:34.00. Senior Aaron Wolfe and junior Keane Shuler rounded out the Idaho State top five. Wolfe finished ninth, just two seconds behind Barrett while Shuler took 11th overall with a time of 19:40.00.

"Zac has struggled physically and we're not sure if that is allergy related or if it's just nerves," Janssen said of the men's performance as the team continues to struggle with its meet performance. "He had some academic issues the other day that made him kind of stressed and sometimes asthma can be stress related. The rest of the guys are obviously fit and in work outs they can all run with Ryan [Davis]."

Idaho State will travel next to Santa Clara, Calif. for the Bronco Invitational hosted by the Broncos of Santa Clara University Saturday, Oct. 16.
