POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State travels to Creighton University for a 6 p.m. mountain time contest on Saturday, Dec. 18. The game can be heard live on 930 KSEI with
Jerry Miller calling the action. The game can also be seen on the ESPN Full-Court package or on line via ESPN 3.
This is the eighth meeting between the two schools but the first since the 1971-72 season when the Bengals dropped a 77-66 contest in Omaha. Creighton leads the series 5-2, with ISU winning the first two meetings of the series in the 1952-53 and 1959-60 seasons.
Creighton is 5-4 and coming off a victory over Saint Joseph's 82-75 on Saturday, Dec. 11. The Bluejays are led in scoring by Antoine Young's 14.1 points a game. Doug McDermott and Kenny Lawson Jr. are both netting 12.9 points a contest. Lawson Jr. is the teams top rebounder at 7.8 a game. Creighton is averaging 69.3 points a game and shooting 42.1 percent from the field. The average home attendance for the Blue Jays is 14,764 through six home games.
Hot Shooting Busma
Deividas Busma is shooting 61.3 percent from the field, which ranks him 22nd in the country and fifth in the Big Sky. He is off to his best start in his Idaho State career. The Bengal senior scored in double figures in the first four games of the season but that streak was snapped against Montana Tech when he had nine points. Busma is currently averaging 13.9 points and 7.1 rebounds a game. In the victory over UMKC he was 8-of-11 from the field.

New Court to Come
Holt Arena will be getting a new basketball court this season thanks to the donation and partnership of Idaho Central Credit Union. Fans will get a chance to see the new court by the Dec. 31 home game vs. Sacramento State.
Senior Moment
Experience paid off for the Bengals in their 78-57 win over UMKC on Saturday as the senior class of
Broderick Gilchrest,
Deividas Busma,
Mike Lacey and
Phyllip Taylor combined to score 62 of the team's 78 points. Busma's 20 points tied his career-high while Lacey and Taylor each had a career-high of 17 and 11 points. Gilchrest had 14 points.
Holiday Ticket Offer
The Idaho State Athletic Department is offering ISU fans an opportunity to see three basketball games for only $10 this holiday season while supplies last. The Bengal men and women will be in action Dec. 31 through January 2 with all three games starting at 2 p.m. This special ticket offer for the men's games will be available in the floor seats near the team bench.
The Bengal men's basketball opens Big Sky play on Dec. 31 at 2 p.m. against Sacramento State. This will be the first game played on the new Idaho Central Credit Union court.
Then on January 1, the Bengal women's team hosts Montana Tech on January 1 at 2 p.m. in Reed Gym. The women are currently 7-4 and coming off two road wins over Utah and Utah State. The men then host Portland State on Sunday at 2 p.m. back in Holt Arena.
