Box Score: Weber State 6 - Idaho State 1 
Ogden, UT - Sophomore Dan Buckingham was victorious in his three set singles match in Idaho State's 6-1 loss to Weber State, ranked second in the Big Sky, at the Ogden Athletic Club on Tuesday night. Weber State improves to 6-2 in league play while the Bengals fell to 1-6 for the season.
Idaho State (1-9, 1-6 BSC) was overcome in all three doubles matches to begin the match down 1-0 to Weber State (10-12, 6-2 BSC). Buckingham and freshman Nate Gross fell to Spencer Marchant and Cole Paterson 8-6 at the No. 3 spot.
Buckingham posted the lone Bengal victory defeating Paterson 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 at the No. 5 spot. The Bengal was triumphant in his first three set match of the season and improved his record at the No. 5 spot to 3-1 for the season.
The Bengals competed in two three set matches and one contest that advanced to a ten-point super tiebreaker. Freshman Colton Pate also played a three set contest capturing the first set 7-6, his first set tiebreaker of the season, but was overcome 6-1, 6-3 by Wildcat Dave Hintze at the No. 6 spot.
Due to the match already being decided freshman Gross advanced to a ten-point tiebreaker where he was overcome by Marchant 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 at the No. 4 spot. Senior Javier Royo played a tight contest rallying in the second set with Simon Unger falling 6-4, 7-5 at the No. 1 spot.
Junior Danel Barrenechea ended his four-match win streak when he retired from his match against Henning Hipp at the No. 2 spot. Sophomore Dakota Pate was overcome 6-1, 6-2 by Sascha Kiehne at the No. 3 spot.
The Bengals will play their final conference match o the season on Saturday, April 17 at Portland State with start time to be announced.
