POCATELLO, Idaho - Breanne Van Every led the Bengals with a double-double of 19 kills and 15 digs to give Idaho State a four set (25-23, 25-20, 12-25, 25-23) victory over Montana Saturday afternoon.
Not only did Van Every record her sixth double-double of the season, she did so while leading the Bengals in kills and digs. She notched a .306 attack percentage from 49 attempts and just four errors. She also had two assists and two block assists.
Setter Lori Mendenhall was one dig shy of a double-double as she recorded 40 assists. Freshman Alydia Fields chippied in 10 kills. Libero Kylee Searle had 14 digs while defensive specialist
Katie Grajewski notched 10 digs.
The Bengals strong serving and blocking helped Idaho State take the match. The Bengals recorded six service aces to Montana's two and out-blocked the Griz 7-to-4.
Idaho State ended its five-match home stand with Montana and will play at Northern Arizona on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
