Road Nonconference Games
The last time Idaho State won a road nonconference game was a 68-65 win at UMKC on Nov. 28, 2009.

BCS Season Openers
Since the 2004-05 season the Bengals have opened the season against an opponent from a BCS conference in six of the last seven season. All six games have been on the road. Idaho State has opened the year at Oregon (2004), Kansas (2005), Marquette (2006), Iowa (2007), Iowa State (2009) and Colorado (2010). The only year Idaho State opened against a non BCS school during this time was in 2008 at home against Eastern Oregon, which was a 75-70 victory.

The Week That Was
After leading for over half of the game, Oklahoma went on a late run to defeat Idaho State 78-74. Chase Grabau flirted with a triple-double as he had 10 points, eight rebounds and nine assists.  The nine assists was a career-high as he also had only one turnover in 38 minutes of play. Kenny McGowen led Idaho State with 14 points. Dejan Kostur had 12 points off the bench while Melvin Morgan had 11.

Newcomers Impress in Season Opener
Joe O'Brien's first-year Bengals made quite an impact in the Bengals season opener at Oklahoma. Jakub Kusmieruk started and scored nine points and grabbed five rebounds in 22 minutes of play while Melvin Morgan had 11 points and three steals in 22 minutes and Dejan Kostur and 12 points and four rebounds in 21 minutes.

Not Backing Down From Tough Competition
With games at Oklahoma and Utah this year, Bengal coach Joe O'Brien will have played 23 games against schools from BCS conferences since 2006. All 23 games have been on the road and ISU is still looking for a win against a BCS opponent under O'Brien. Idaho State did beat Utah at home in 2008 when the Utes were still in the Mountain West Conference.
