POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team lost 63-39 to Weber State on Tuesday evening at ICCU Court in Holt Arena. The loss drops the Bengals to 9-18 and 4-10 in conference while Weber State improved to 16-10 and 10-4 in league play.

Broderick Gilchrest each scored 11 points but the Bengals shot only 21.7 percent for the game while the Wildcats shot 40.7 percent. Weber State shot only 33 percent from the field in the first half.
“We just never seemed to be in synch offensively,” Idaho State coach Joe O'Brien said. “Defensively we weren't bad in the first half giving up 25 points. Most nights I would take that in a heartbeat.”
The score was tied at nine eight minutes into the game when Weber State proceeded to go on a 10-3 run to lead 19-12 with 5:24 to play until halftime. ISU managed only three more points in the final five minutes and trailed 25-15 at the break.
Idaho State fell behind by as many as 29 points in the second half.
The Bengals return to the court on Feb. 28 for their final home game against Northern Colorado. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
