The Bengals play five games in three days.

POCATELLO, Idaho-
The Idaho State softball team heads to Tucson, Arizona for a tournament hosted by No. 4 Arizona this weekend. The Bengals will face UC Riverside, Portland State, Utah State, No.4 Arizona and Minnesota over the three-day tournament.

The Bengals went 1-2 last weekend in the PCSC Crossover Tournament, hosted by Sacramento State. Terah Blackwell hit two homeruns while Courtney Hancock was 4-for-7, good for a .571 average on the weekend. Christina Rayner also had a good tournament offensively, hitting .500 (4-for-8). Kandis Clesson was 1-1 and had a 1.29 era with 5 strikeouts and allowing only two earned runs in 14 innings of work.

Bengals vs. Arizona
Arizona leads the overall series 2-0. This is the first meeting between the two schools since May 11, 1979 when the Wildcats pulled out a 4-3, eight inning win. The other meeting took place in 1977 when Arizona won 10-0.

Bengals vs. UC Riverside
UCR leads the overall series 3-0. The two teams played twice last year with Riverside winning, 3-0 and 9-2.

Bengals vs. Utah State
The Aggies lead the series 22-7. In the only meeting in 2010, USU won 9-0 in five innings. Idaho State's last win over Utah State was May 7, 1983, a 1-0 win in Logan.

Bengals vs. Portland State
Portland State leads the overall series 8-3. PSU has won the last six meetings. ISU's last win was April 15, 1983, a 1-0 victory.

Bengals vs. Minnesota
This is the second meeting between the two schools. In the only other contest, Minnesota pulled out a 5-1 win on Mar. 16, 2007.

Miller Ranch Stadium
The Bengals are set to begin play in the new Miller Ranch Stadium on April 16. ISU hosts Portland State in a double header that day. ISU has home games at Miller Ranch Stadium against Portland State, Utah State, Weber State and Seattle.

Throwing the Heat
Kandis Clesson is back for her senior season. She already holds nearly every pitching record in ISU history. Clesson currently holds the single-season record for wins (16), games (45), starts (29), complete games (25), innings pitched (211.2). Clesson tops the Bengal career-records for appearances (110), complete games (51), innings pitched (525.2), and strikeouts (301). She is currently five wins away from being the all-time win leader.
